Why I'm Running ...

Detroiters in District 5 deserve a Police Commissioner who listens to the community, demands transparency, and works daily to make our neighborhood safer. I've served our community for over two decades-and I'm ready to bring that leadership to the table where change happens.

My Priorities

Build Community Trust

Building community trust starts with fair policies and strong civilian oversight, ensuring everyone’s voice is heard and respected. By fostering transparency and accountability, we create a safer, more united District 5 for all residents.

Youth Focused Safety

Investing in youth-focused safety programs prevents crime by addressing its root causes and empowering young people with mentorship, education, and positive opportunities12. These proven initiatives not only reduce arrests and violence but also build safer, healthier communities for generations to come

Transparency and Accountability

Transparency and accountability are essential to building trust between law enforcement and the community. By holding police to the same high standards as the people they serve, we ensure justice, fairness, and lasting public confidence.

Equity in Public Safety

Equity in public safety means fighting for justice practices that protect every resident, regardless of their zip code. Everyone deserves equal protection and fair treatment, ensuring safer and stronger communities for all.
